Hawker bakeries are fast becoming the latest trend as they continue to sprout up across the island. What I really appreciate about them is how you can often find unique bakes or value-for-money offerings in these humble spots, making for the perfect sweet treat after a hearty hawker centre meal. While most of these stores typically sell breads, cakes, and muffins, there is one bakery that stands out from the rest—Mr Baguette at Golden Mile Food Centre. 

The first thing that might come to mind is the classic long, thin French bread with a crisp crust, typically stuffed with savoury fillings. However, Mr Baguette puts a completely different twist on it. Here, you will find miniature, crunchy bowl-shaped baguettes packed with an assortment of sweet fillings instead. It was a spin-off unlike anything we had come across before, and is said to be the first and only concept of its kind in Singapore.
