It’s hard not to love Mexican cuisine. From hearty tacos to loaded bowls of chips with guacamole, every dish is full of bold and punchy flavours. If I ever run away from home one day, you’ll probably find me at Huevos in Bugis—my favourite restaurant in Singapore. 

But in recent years, one spot that’s often mooted to give them a run for their money is Fuego Mesa—a hole-in-the-wall eatery located beneath an HDB block in Farrer Park. With all the buzz it’s been generating on social media, I knew it was time to take off my Huevos-tinted glasses and see if it lives up to the hype.
