Baker RST is a hawker bakery at Empress Road Food Centre

We’re big fans of hawker bakeries in Singapore and have visited quite a few over the years. So, when Baker RST popped up at  Empress Road Food Centre, we were naturally curious. Their “boat” pizzas and unique muffin flavours offer a fun twist you don’t usually see at hawker bakeries.

But what really impressed us was the person behind the bakes. Ryan, the pastry chef, trained at Le Cordon Bleu and even received the prestigious Dux Award for being one of the top students in his cohort.

There are three muffins and three boat pizzas to choose from, with everything baked fresh from scratch. For muffin fans, try the local favourite Pandan Kaya Coconut Gula Melaka ($2.90), finished with desiccated coconut.
