A man in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China, is seeking compensation after a full-body massage at a foot spa was followed by intense groin pain and a surprising medical diagnosis.
The man, surnamed Du, visited a local foot spa and spent 598 yuan (around S$106) for a full-body massage.
Uncomfortable After Massage
According to HK01, Du experienced severe discomfort in his lower body the next day and found walking difficult.
Concerned, he went to the hospital, where he was diagnosed with a left-sided epididymal head cyst.
“I Couldn’t Even Walk”
Du believes the massage may have triggered the condition.
He recalled that during the session, the massage therapist pressed on his groin area, which made him slightly uncomfortable at the time.
“At the time, the masseur did press on my groin area. I felt a bit uncomfortable but didn’t think much of it. I didn’t expect it to get this bad the next day. I couldn’t even walk.”
Du is now seeking 50,000 yuan (around S$8,923) in compensation from the spa, reportedly to cover medical costs and lost income.
