SINGAPORE - A man has been arrested for drink-driving after an accident involving a car and a pedestrian on the night of Oct 3.
The incident took place at the junction of Serangoon Road and Lavender Street at about 9.10pm, according to both the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) and the police.
The 71-year-old male pedestrian was taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital, while the 37-year-old male car driver was arrested for drink-driving.
Photos of the accident posted on Facebook by the SGRV Front Man account show a dark saloon car stationary after hitting a traffic light, which is bent. Several migrant workers are looking on as SCDF personnel tend to the victim on the grass verge. There is debris strewn on the side of the road and pavement.
Police said their investigations are ongoing.
