Singapore have been drawn in Group D alongside Australia, Tajikistan and Iraq for the AFC Asian Cup 2027, following the Final Draw ceremony held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on 9 May 2026.
The Lions will compete in Asia’s premier international competition for the first time since 1984, as they prepare to test themselves against some of the continent’s strongest sides.
Head Coach Gavin Lee welcomed the opportunity for the team to compete on the biggest stage in Asian football.
“We are very proud for Singapore to be back at the Asian Cup, and the players and staff are excited for the challenge ahead.
“At this level, every opponent will demand our very best, so our focus will be on preparing well, maximising every opportunity between now and the tournament, and arriving at the tournament in the best possible version of ourselves,” said Lee.
The Lions are set to compete in two preparation matches around the June FIFA international window, beginning with Mongolia on 31 May 2026, before taking on China PR on 5 June 2026.
Tickets for both matches will be available for purchase from Monday, 11 May 2026, 11am, via Ticketek and the Football Association of Singapore (FAS) official website (https://fas.org.sg/tickets).
