A Malaysian woman has shared her experience of allegedly being pressured by her former employer to provide photo evidence that she had given birth while she was still recovering in the hospital.

The woman claimed her employer repeatedly requested proof of her hospital admission and birth, including asking her to take a selfie with her newborn baby. She said the requests happened shortly after she delivered her first child.

Employer Allegedly Requested More Proof

According to the woman’s account, her husband had already sent a photo of the baby’s information card to the employer. The card reportedly showed details including the mother’s name and the baby’s date of birth.

However, she claimed the employer was not satisfied and continued asking for more confirmation. She said she was asked to open her doctor’s file and send a picture showing that she had been admitted to the hospital ward.

The woman questioned why the employer could not wait until she was discharged before requesting further documents. She said she felt pressured while trying to recover after giving birth.

Contract Not Renewed After Delivery

The woman later sent a photo of herself wearing the hospital’s pink polka dot patient gown. However, she claimed her employer still requested a selfie showing her together with her baby.

She said the situation became more upsetting when her employment contract, which was scheduled to end on Oct 30, was allegedly not renewed despite her providing the requested proof.
